Sunday Worship Service ~ 10:15 am
Our worship services are warm and friendly. Casual dress is appropriate.
Our music is a mixture of old familiar hymns- mixed with new praise songs. Our singing is accompanied by organ, piano, and other instruments. Occasionally our children's chimes and youth orchestra lead us and assist in worship.
Children are welcome. Our congregation includes several generations.
We share holy communion on the first Sunday of the month - all persons may
partake of the bread and juice
which is passed along to persons in their pews.

They are officially added to the membership records of First United Methodist Church and The United Methodist Church. An affiliate of associate member agrees to the same commitments and meets the same requirements of a full member.

WAYS TO JOIN THE CHURCH

Adult Baptism and Profession of Faith
: Baptism is the initiation into the Christian family with roots reaching back to the ancient Jews and the baptism of Jesus in the Jordan River. For the first Christians, it was the symbol of God's cleansing from the guilt of our sins. Profession of Faith is the public acceptance of Christian faith and the expression of the desire to live the Christian life as a disciple of Jesus Christ and a member of His church.

Transfer of Membership: We recognize and respect the baptism and membership vows of other denominations. A person, who has been a member of another denomination or of another United Methodist church, may join First UMC by transfer. We will write a letter to the former church requesting the membership of the person be "transferred" to us.
